We’re always looking for new and creative things to cut from marble and granite with our Water-jet machine, and one great application which we love is these heat register covers.
We’ve been cutting these covers for several years now on our water-jet machine, but we’ve recently streamlined the process, added new design options, and have updated our website with multiple pages dedicated to our heat register covers. There’s even an order form you can download, fill out, and mail in!
What makes these covers so great?
First, they are made from your own material. This means that they will be a perfect match to the rest of your floor tiles! The register in the photo above was even cut from the very tile that it was installed into.
Second, they’re strong – a necessary thing when you’re talking about something that sits on your floor and will be walked on. We back each with a layer of aluminum to ensure strength and longevity. Of course, you can’t see the aluminum from above. Unlike traditional metal registers, there’s no contrasting material, just beautiful natural stone.
And of course, they’re fully customize-able! Because we custom cut each one, we can make your heat register cover in virtually any size and with any design. We have a list of standard designs and sizes on our order form, but if you are looking for something else, we can almost certainly do that too!
